CHILLI CHEESE ROTI
You must have eaten a chilli cheese toast, but a chilli cheese roti… Here is how its done.
½ medium green capsicum, chopped
¼ cup grated processed cheese + for garnishing
1¼ cups gram flour (besan)
¼ medium cabbage, chopped
1 green chilli, crushed
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Oil for drizzling
1. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add capsicum, cabbage, green chillies and some water to make a semi-thick mixture.
2. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, salt and cheese and mix well. 3. Heat a non-stick pan. Place a roti, spread some flour mixture on top, drizzle oil on the sides and cook on medium heat from the underside till golden brown and crisp. Flip, drizzle some oil on the sides and cook till golden brown.
4. Cut into wedges and serve hot garnished with some cheese.
